HBO max: DC Studios Case Study

Designing a specific section for DC enthusiasts to quickly find and stream their favorite character’s animated and live action content.

Opportunity to highlight the DC Brand

In order to quickly access all of DC content in one page, you have to scroll almost to the bottom of the series page to find a dedicated DC label.

Otherwise viewers have to rely entirely on the search bar to find specific content.

Once you make it to the existing DC page, you are bombarded with all series and movies all mixed up with no organization.

Proposed Solution

DC is one of the top brands showcased on HBO max with plenty of content.

A dedicated page for DC content with a subsection organized by the top characters would make it easier for viewers to quickly access their favorite content increasing traffic for both live action and animated content.

Dedicated DC tab

Integrating a DC tab on the side menu will remove the hassle of scrolling down movies and shows to find the existing DC label.

The landing page for DC would be divided into six categories

Featured tab

Showcases recently released movies and shows as well as soon to be released content

Collections tab

Showcases DC’s hero’s individual tabs with content about their own universe.

Series tab

Showcases popular and trending series.

Movies tab

Showcases popular and trending movies.

Animation tab

Showcases popular and trending animated content.

Family tab

Showcases content to be enjoyed for the entire family.
